15 Years...Seriously?

Well, I have stepped into a whole new realm today. I realized that it has been 15 years since I walked the halls as a student at New Richmond High School. It is so funny how time has just flown by. High school to me was fun. I loved my friends and loved the experiences that I had. From school plays to roaming the halls more then a cell phone in Montana, I had an absolute blast!!! I got to thinking though...I hear parents saying all the time, "high school is the best time of your life." Man I hope kids don't listen to that. I mean, it was fun, but what happens after graduation. Well, that's it folks, no more fun, no more enjoyment, nothing will ever be as fulfilling. Students, there is life after graduation. I have had more fun being out then in and again, I loved high school. Graduation has brought me college, a bride, a baby and a wonderful job. These have been the best years so far. So, what? Well, I want to remind everyone of a passage I recently read. The Apostle Paul is addressing the Ephesians as they began to lose their way a little bit. Well, more then a little bit. The passage opens up in chapter 5 with a directive, we are to be imitators of Christ. In all things we are to imitate Christ, but then it goes on to says in 5:15-16, "Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil." If we are in the midst of all the chaos of life, we should make the most to imitate Christ and make the most of every opportunity. To me, graduation was a point where we could elevate to the next level in our walk with Christ and in life. Make the most of all the opportunities you are given. Love when you can love. Laugh when you can laugh. Cry when you need to. Make the most of all the life you have been given.
